If we have experienced what St. Paul experienced when he says, “It is not I that lives but
Christ who lives in me”, the resurrected Christ is already living in our hearts. If we have
surrendered our life to God, then Christ is continuing his ministry through us. We are now
living the resurrected life. It means that we have come through “a death” and can now
experience the new life of resurrection.
We now have the ability to bring this new life with hope and zeal to others. Using our God
given gifts we are able to share with all of creation as it moves to the Omega point which is
Christ. Using our gift of Christian leadership, we become able to break through this age of
polarization and be an example of reaching common ground amidst diversity. Look to the
example of religious leaders who meet in interfaith groups to come to consensus on
important issues. Using the God given scientific know how, the resurrected life leads us to
help meet the climate crises to save our common home, mother earth. The resurrected life
will enable us to reach out to the poor and suffering. Through contemplation the resurrected
life will allow an inner peace to be extended to our communities and world. “All that rises
will converge.”

  • What does Christ’s resurrection mean to you?
  • Do you think of yourself as having a resurrected life?
  • How is Christ calling you to share your God given gifts?

O God, help me make Christ’s resurrection come alive in my life.
