Prayer
to the sacred heart
of Jesus

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
through Columba Thy humble brother
do I come in holy longing
to Thee, my shield, my buckler.

May Thy will be always done,
Through Jesus Christ Thine only Son,
From Whose Sacred Heart
The Precious Blood doth run.

With feet misshapen Thy faithful cobbler
Made Thy will his.
And so let me, misshapen me,
Love Thee, Who truly is.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I have asked of Thee many a favor.
But most of all, for this I plead,
That my trust in Thee never waver.
