There are many things wrong in our world. There are many challenges that seem overwhelming to us: the pandemic, racial injustice, the climate crisis, political unrest to name a few. This is not to mention our personal challenges and family situations. How to react and more importantly act to make a difference in what needs healing? Our faith can lead us in the right direction. We say we are on a spiritual journey. While we have not arrived in being completely successful in achieving lasting results, we can say that we are on the way. Our faith in God’s promises leads us to believe his “kingdom” is coming “on earth as it is in heaven.” We have the grace and the power to take the next step. Our faith and our reliance on God, give us the courage to advance. Martin Luther King in his “I have a dream speech” says that he might not reach the top of the mountain with us but God’s dream for us is coming. With our faith and God’s help we can move mountains to meet us in the reality of our lives.
